Chemistry Lab Safety Rules

Hello everyone!Today, I would like to draw your attention to a particular topic that is of great importance: safety in chemistry laboratories.

Chemistry laboratories can be fascinating and exciting places, but they can also be hazardous if safety measures are not strictly followed. That’s why I want to share a document from our university lectures (the document belongs to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Süreyya Oğuz Tümay but also I added some extra notes.)about some general rules and emergency procedures that must be known and followed in any chemistry laboratory.

The attached PDF file includes these rules and procedures, and we highly recommend that you read it thoroughly before entering any laboratory. Of course, it’s worth noting that there may be extra practices for laboratories depending on their type. However, the general rules and emergency procedures outlined in the PDF are a good starting point for any laboratory.

Let’s educate ourselves on these issues, and let’s make sure that we are fully prepared before entering any laboratory.
